Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department between Wednesday, 05/25/11 and Thursday, 05/26/11. ACES BUILDING, 201 East 24th Street Theft: A Lenovo Think Pad was reported stolen after being left unattended inside an unsecured fifth floor office. Loss value: $700.00. Occurred on: 5-25-11, between 3:15 PM and 3:20 PM. 2400 BLOCK WHITIS AVE Public Intoxication / Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was discovered passed out next to a staff member’s vehicle. The subject remained unresponsive until Austin EMS arrived and successfully roused the subject. During the investigation, the officers detected a very strong odor of alcohol on the subject’s breath and noted other signs of intoxication. After being treated at the scene by EMS, the subject refused to be transported to a local area hospital. The subject was taken into custody for Public Intoxication and was transported to Central Booking. In addition to the law enforcement actions taken, the subject was issued a written Criminal Trespass Warning. Occurred on: 5-26-11, at 1:18 AM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, the University of Texas Police Department responded to 19 Alarm Calls, 2 Suspicious Activity Reports, 2 Suspicious Persons Reports, and 2 Unsecured Door Reports between 05/25/11 and 05/26/11.
