Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department between Tuesday, 06/07/11 and Wednesday, 06-08-11. ***** ADMINISTRATIVE MESSAGE ***** The University of Texas Police Department would like to remind everyone the Republic of Texas Motorcycle Rally is this weekend. With the increased number of motorcycles on the streets this weekend, take a second look when changing lanes or turning. Yesterday, the Austin Police Department announced this weekend is a No Refusal Weekend. If you are planning to enjoy the ROT Rally think ahead and have a safety plan laid out. Know how or who is taking you home. COMMUNICATIONS BUILDING B, 2504-B Whitis Ave Theft: A purple Specialized mountain bicycle was reported stolen after being secured to the bike racks located on the north side of the building with a self-locking cable lock. Loss value: $310.00. Occurred on: 6-8-11 between, 10:15 AM and 6:05 PM. INTRAMURAL FIELDS, 4901 Guadalupe Burglary of Motor Vehicle: A UT student discovered the passenger side window of her Mitsubishi broken and several personal items missing from her vehicle. During the investigation, the officer learned the student’s purse, personal identifications, flash drive and an Apple IPod had been left in plain view inside the vehicle. Loss value: Unknown at this time. Occurred on: 6-08-11, between 6:20 PM and 8:35 PM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, the University of Texas Police Department responded to 15 Alarm Calls, 1 Callbox Alarm, 1 EMS Call, 3 Suspicious Activity Reports, 1 Suspicious Person Report, and 7 Unsecured Door Reports between 06/08/11 and 06/09/11.
