Upon closer inspection, the staff member discovered an unknown subject had removed his UT parking permit from a “secured” vehicle. And to answer your next question, yes every UT Police Officer has been providing this officer with “crime prevention tips.” If they haven’t they will be after reading the Campus Watch. Leaving our windows open to vent the heat is not that unusual in the Great State of Texas. However, this practice allows a thief the opportunity to commit a crime. When securing your vehicle in the summer, this includes rolling up the windows.
