Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department between Monday, 06/20/11 and Tuesday, 06/21/11. * * * * * ADMINISTRATIVE MESSAGE * * * * * The City of Austin Police Department has asked The University of Texas Police Department to pass along the following information and is asking for your assistance. If you observe this subject notify the Austin Police Department by dialing 911. ALMETRIS DUREN HALL, 2624 Whitis Ave Theft: The UT Police Department received information a mountain bicycle had been removed from the bike racks located on the northeast side of the building. During the investigation, the officers located the bicycle south of the University of Texas inside the backyard of a private residence. Several bicycle parts had already been removed from the bicycle and had been stored in various locations. As the investigation continued, the officers were informed an unknown subject had approached the homeowner and offered to sell the bicycle for $20.00. The homeowner accepted the offer. Charges are pending upon securing an arrest warrant. Recovered loss value: $1,300.00. Occurred on: 6-20-11, at 1:45 PM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, the University of Texas Police Department responded to 16 Alarm Calls, 1 Fire Call, 1 Suspicious Activity report, 2 Suspicious Person reports, 2 Malfunctioning Light reports, and 4 Unsecured Door Reports between 06/20/11 and 06/21/11.
