Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department between Tuesday, 07/19/11 and Wednesday, 07/20/11. DOTY FINE ARTS BUILDING, 2301 Trinity Ave Criminal Trespass Warning: A UT staff member discovered a non-UT subject sleeping inside a restricted area. During the investigation, the subject informed the officers that he was waiting for the library to open and decided to take a short nap. The subject was issued a written Criminal Trespass Warning and was escorted from the area. Occurred on: 7-19-11, at 9:10 AM. SAN JACINTO PARKING GARAGE, 2401 San Jacinto Blvd Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was discovered sleeping on the 6th level of the garage. During the investigation, the officers issued the subject a written Criminal Trespass Warning and escorted him from the area. Occurred on: 7-19-11, at 10:28 AM. 100 BLOCK WEST INNER CAMPUS DRIVE Public Intoxication: A UT Police Officer observed a non-UT subject staggering back and forth as attempted to use well placed trees and poles to maintain his balance. During the investigation, the officers detected a very strong odor of alcohol on the subject’s breath and noted his eyes were bloodshot and watery. The subject spoke with an incoherent slur. The subject was taken into custody for Public Intoxication and transported to Central Booking. Occurred on: 7-19-11, at 11:42 PM. 300 BLOCK EAST 23rd STREET Burglary of Building: A non-UT contractor discovered an unknown subject had entered the construction trailer and removed a Dell laptop computer from his office. Loss value: $500.00. Occurred between: 7-18-11 and 7-19-11. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 17 Alarm Calls, 1 Accidental damage Report, 1 Suspicious Activity Report, 2 Medical Calls, 2 Burned Out Light Reports, and 8 Unsecured Door Reports between 07/19/11 and 07/20/11.
