JESTER EAST DORMITORY, 203 East 21st Street False Report to a Police Officer: A UT student reported he had been robbed at an unknown location off location. During the investigation, the student stated he had gotten onto the wrong bus and ended up on Lake Austin Blvd. After getting off the bus he was approached by a “Hobo” brandishing a metal pipe. The subject told him to give him everything he had, then swung the pipe at the student. The student proceeded to disarm the “Hobo” and knocked him to the ground. The student informed the officers he then used physical force to keep the unknown suspect on the ground. He then picked up the pipe and pointed it at the subject and stated “Bad Hobo” then walked away. There were several facts in the student’s story that could not be verified, like the injuries he claimed to had gotten. After talking to the student, and detailing all of the known facts, the student text messaged the officer and stated, he had not been robbed and wanted to drop the entire incident.
