April 14-20th has been designated as National Public Safety Telecommunications Week. It is designated as a time when citizens can thank public safety men and women who are the first line of contact of those emergency professionals who respond during times of crisis. This week allows Americans from across the country to show gratitude to the 9-1-1 call takers, dispatchers, technicians that maintain radio and emergency phone systems, communication staff trainers, communications center and other public safety personnel. This group of unique and dedicated folks work tirelessly, often behind the scenes to help you during emergencies. AT&T CONFERENCE CENTER, 1900 University Ave Public Intoxication: A UT staff member discovered a UT student passed out on in the elevator lobby located on the 4th floor. MAIN MALL, 110 Inner Campus Dr. Criminal Mischief / Criminal Trespass Warning: UT Police Officers responded to a report of several subjects wearing maroon shirts using chalk to write on the Main Building. The group was currently on a Scavenger Hunt and needed to place the ATM logo somewhere on UT, and he had pictures to prove he had in-fact drew the ATM. For extra points they needed to get their pictures taken with the police. All members of the group were issued written Criminal Trespass Warnings. The one A&M student who had allowed his picture to be taken, while he drew a large ATM on the south side of the Main Building, was issued a court appearance citation for Criminal Mischief.
