Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Thursday, 01/07/16 and Friday, 01/08/16. BLANTON MUSEUM OF ART, 200 East Martin Luther King Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was reported as sleeping on a bench located on the west side of the building. The subject was awakened and issued a written criminal trespass warning. Occurred on 01/08/16 at 12 midnight. LOS ANGELES AIRPORT, 1 World Way, Los Angeles, California Theft: A Microsoft Surface tablet was stolen after being left unattended in the airport. Loss value: $250.00. Occurred on 08/09/15. Reported on 01/07/16 at 1:38 PM. 1300 Lavaca Criminal Mischief / Assist Outside Agency: A UT police officer witnessed a vehicle driving erratically and at one point appeared to be following the police officer's patrol car. When the officer was able to pull behind the vehicle, the vehicle stopped and two non-UT subjects exited the vehicle. The female driver indicated the male subject, her boyfriend, became upset after a local bartender kissed her on her cheek while they were at a bar. As she was driving them home, the argument persisted and at one point, her boyfriend grabbed the steering wheel which forced her to hit a curb and leave the roadway. The impact of hitting the curb caused damage to the vehicle. The “boyfriend” was found to have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for Obstructing a Highway. Repair cost: $1,000.00. Occurred on 01/08/16 at 2:37 AM. 2100 Speedway Public Intoxication / Criminal Trespass Warning: A UT staff member reported being confronted by a non-UT subject after she exited Gregory Gymnasium. The subject yelled several profanities toward the staff member who quickly fled to a vehicle that was waiting to pick her up. The non-UT subject then went to the vehicle and hit its hood and passenger side window several times before turning his verbally abusive ways towards other pedestrians. Officers found the subject walking in the middle of the roadway and determined his confrontational behavior was most likely due to his high level of intoxication. The staff member's vehicle did not sustain any damage from the impact of the subject's hands. In addition to being taken into custody for public intoxication, the subject was also issued a written criminal trespass warning. Occurred on 01/07/16 at 6:42 PM. 100 East 22nd Street Criminal Trespass Warning (4 Counts): Four non-UT subjects were reported as shaking a fence surrounding a construction site. The four subjects fled on foot when the reporting person hollered at them. All four subjects were located a short distance away and were each issued written criminal trespass warning.
