Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Thursday, 01/14/16. and Friday, 01/15/16. PICKLE RESEARCH CAMPUS, 10500 Exploration Way Duty Upon Striking an Unattended Vehicle: A UT staff member reported their vehicle was damaged, in a collision by an unknown vehicle, while it was parked. The unknown vehicle's operator failed to leave their contact and insurance information, with the damaged vehicle, as required by Texas law. Estimated damage: $1,500. Occurred on 01/13/16 at 11:10 AM. 3500 BLOCK OF GUADALUPE ST Driving While License Invalid: A UTPD Officer detected a vehicle traveling at an abnormally high rate of speed on Guadalupe Street. When the officer stopped the vehicle, he found that the driver's license was suspended, they had no insurance, and their tag was expired. The officer arrested the driver and the vehicle was towed. Occurred on 01/15/16 at 1:00AM. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 25 Alarm Reports, 14 Traffic Violations, 4 Suspicious Activity Reports, 2 Motorist Assist Requests, 4 Assist Other Law Enforcement Agency Requests, 1 Welfare Concern Report, 1 Police Emergency Help “Call Box”, and 6 Public Assist Requests between 01/14/16 and 01/15/16.
