ALMETRIS DUREN HALL, 2624 Whitis Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT police officer was summoned to assist a student, who was under the age of 21, by opening her dormitory room door. The student had lost her keys earlier in the evening. Upon arrival, the officer found the student lying on the ground amidst a pool of partially digested consumables. The student became frustrated by her inability to locate her identification and exclaimed, “Great, that's another thing I lost tonight.” Besides her previous meal, the student also lost her keys, cellular telephone and identification. While the student had consumed alcoholic beverages earlier in the night and displayed an inability to care for her personal property, the officer deemed she was sober enough to care for herself. The student's shoe situation may have contributed to his balance and coordination difficulties, but it did not explain the other signs of intoxication.
