Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Monday, 02/29/16 and Tuesday, 03/01/16. CLARKE FIELD, 307 East 21st Street Theft: A neon orange colored Jansport backpack containing an Apple iPhone 6 Plus, a set of keys, a credit card, $20 in cash, a text book, two course guidebooks, two identification cards, a Zip card, and a laptop computer charging cord was stolen after being left on the bleachers as the owner went for a run. Loss value: $770.00. Occurred on 02/29/16 between 2:00 p.m. and 2:20 p.m. NORMAN HACKERMAN BUILDING, 100 East 24th Street Theft: A purple Cannondale R500 CAD2 road bike was stolen after it was secured with a cable lock to the bicycle racks located on the north side of the building. Loss value: $300.00. Occurred on 02/26/16 between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Reported on 02/29/16 at 12:36 p.m. PARKING LOT 113, 2200 Comal Duty Upon Striking an Unattended Vehicle: A non-UT subject reported his parked and unattended Jaguar had been struck while he attended a baseball game. The driver of the striking vehicle left the scene without leaving driver information. Several witnesses provided information about the striking vehicle including a license plate. The owner of that black Dodge pick-up truck will soon be notified. Repair cost: $2,500.00. Occurred on 02/27/16 at approximately 6:30 p.m. Reported on 02/29/16 at 3:55 p.m. PARKING LOT 36, 1900 San Jacinto Assault: A UT Parking and Transportation Services employee reported being assaulted after issuing a citation in parking lot 36. The employee stated she issued two citations to an illegally parked vehicle. The owner of the parked vehicle arrived in time to have the second citation hand delivered. During the delivery, the owner of the car grasped the employee's fingers so tightly that it caused pain and bruising. The employee did not wish to file criminal charges. Occurred on 02/29/16 at 9:31 p.m. UNIVERSITY POLICE BUILDING, 2201 Robert Dedman Harassment: A UT student came to the police department to report being harassed buy a non-UT student. The student stated she met the subject at a conference and while not engaged in a relationship with the subject, she did communicate via text and phone calls. After the student began to feel the subject was delving into life too intently, she directed him to stop calling and texting. The calls and text messages continued which led to the visit to the police department. Reported on 02/29/16 at 10:00 p.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 25 Alarm Reports, 1 Fire Alarm Activation, 5 Traffic Violations, 7 Suspicious Activity Reports, 5 Medical Assist Requests, 2 Stuck Elevator Reports, 2 Found Property Reports, 1 Light Malfunction Report, and 5 Public Assist Requests between 02/29/16 and 03/01/16.
