Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Thursday, 03/03/16 and Friday, 03/04/16. PERRY-CASTAÑEDA LIBRARY, 101 East 21st Street Theft: A black Nixon model 48-20 wrist watch was stolen after it was left in an unsecured 2nd floor study room. Occurred on 03/03/16 between 10:50 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. UNIVERSITY POLICE BUILDING, 2201 Robert Dedman Harassment: A UT student came to the police department to report harassment. The student stated she had engaged in a relationship with a non-UT subject. After the relationship ended, the student directed the subject to cease all communications with her. The subject ignored the directive and continued to make contact with her. Reported on 03/03/16 at 2:17 p.m. 200 East 23rd Street Theft: An Apple iPhone 5s was stolen after it fell out of a backpack near the East Mall Fountain. The phone was in a case with an attached card holder containing two forms of identification, a $10 bill and a credit card. The owner used the “find my phone app” to track the phone to 24th Street and Whitis Avenue. Unfortunately, the location of the phone could not be narrowed down to its exact location or to the person in possession of the phone. The person who possessed the phone placed an unauthorized telephone call with the phone. Loss value: $210.00. Reported on 03/03/16 at 3:38 p.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 25 Alarm Reports, 2 Fire Alarm Activations, 1 “Police Help” Callbox Activation, 17 Traffic Violations, 2 Motor Vehicle Collisions, 10 Suspicious Activity Reports, 2 Welfare Concern Reports, 1 Gas Leak, 1 Water Leak, and 2 Public Assist Requests between 03/03/16 and 03/04/16.
