Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Friday, 03/18/16 and Monday, 03/21/16. BRAZOS PARKING GARAGE, 210 East Martin Luther King Criminal Mischief: An unknown person or persons forced the control arm gate located on northwest side of the garage open causing the control arm to come off of its track. Repair cost: $200.00. Occurred between 03/18/16 at 11:54 p.m. and 03/19/16 at 5:24 a.m. CLARK FIELD, 307 East 21st Street Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was reported as removing items from a locker at Clark Field. UT police officers located the subject and determined the items the subject removed from the lockers belonged to him. That being said, the lockers are for use by faculty, staff, and student members so the subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning. Occurred on 03/19/16 at 12 midnight. GUADALUPE PARKING GARAGE, 417 West 17th Street Criminal Mischief: The rear window was broken out of a Volkswagon Golf while the vehicle was parked and unattended. There was no evidence that entry was made into the vehicle. Repair cost: $500.00. Occurred between 03/18/16 at 11:00 p.m. and 03/19/16 at 7:10 a.m. GUADALUPE PARKING GARAGE, 417 West 17th Street Criminal Trespass / Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was found sleeping on the 6th floor of the southeast stairwell. In addition to having previously been issued a written criminal trespass warning, the subject was also found to have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for Pedestrian Crossing Against the Light. Occurred on 03/19/16 at 7:15 a.m. MIKE MYERS STADIUM, 700 East Clyde Littlefield Criminal Trespass Warning: A UT police officer observed a non-UT subject jumping off of the perimeter fence as the subject was leaving the closed facility. Upon seeing the marked patrol cart, the subject immediately dropped to his knees and placed his hands on his head. The officer detained the subject and issued him a written criminal trespass warning. Occurred on 03/18/16 at 10:06 p.m. SOUTH MALL, 200 West 21st Street Theft: A turquoise colored Schwinn bicycle was stolen while it was secured with a u-lock to the bicycle rack located on the south end of the South Mall. The owner believed she located her bicycle on a popular second hand sale website. Unfortunately, the owner of the bicycle for sale on-line could not be verified. Loss value: $90.00. Occurred on 03/09/16 between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Reported on 03/18/16 at 11:44 a.m. STUDENT SERVICES BUILDING, 100 West Dean Keeton Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping in the 2nd floor lobby. When awakened, it was learned the subject had previously received a written criminal trespass warning and was subsequently taken into custody. Occurred on 03/20/16 at 9:00 a.m. 1900 San Jacinto Public Intoxication / Possession of a Controlled Substance: A non-UT subject was reported as pushing a bicycle southbound on San Jacinto Street while bleeding from the head. UT police officers found the subject leaning against a wall while using the bicycle as if it were a cane. The subject stated he had been downtown drinking and was attempting to get to his house which was located northeast of the campus. The subject stated the cut, which was no longer bleeding, came from a punch he received while at a bar earlier in the night. The night of drinking obviously was a weekend bender as the subject thought the date was two days earlier. The subject showed several signs of intoxication and it was obvious he was a danger to himself. Subsequent to arrest, the subject was found to be in possession of .12 grams of a methamphetamine. Occurred on 03/20/16 at 4:24 a.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 60 Alarm Reports, 27 Traffic Violations, 18 Suspicious Activity Reports, 2 Medical Emergency Assist Requests, 1 Found Property Report, 2 Unsecured Door Reports, 2 Stuck elevator Reports, and 13 Public Assist Requests between 03/18/16 and 03/21/16.
