Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Monday, 03/28/16 and Tuesday, 03/29/16. ART BUILDING, 2301 San Jacinto Criminal Mischief: An unknown subject or subjects affixed advertising flyers to the backs of every chair located inside a 1st floor classroom. Removal cost; $50.00. Reported on 03/28/16 at 4:13 p.m. CLAUDIA TAYLOR JOHNSON, 210 West 6th Street Criminal Trespass Warning (2 counts): Two non-UT subjects were reported as causing a disturbance in the alley located on the north side of the building. Responding police officers separated the two parties and determined no assault had occurred. Both subjects were issued a written criminal trespass warning citation and sent on their way. Occurred on 03/29/16 at 3:49 a.m. LITTLEFIELD RESIDENCE HALL, 201 West Dean Keeton Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was reported as sitting on the stairs to the main entry of the residence hall. The subject was located and fond to be evasive in his responses to simple questions like “what is your name?” The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning and directed to leave the campus. The subject did leave the area and eventually walked to the San Antonio Parking Garage. See the San Antonio Parking Garage entry for the rest of the story. Occurred on 03/28/16 at 3:42 p.m. PERRY-CASTAÑEDA LIBRARY, 101 East 21st Street Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was reported as using a computer that was designated for student use. When asked to leave the library, the subject began to yell at a UT security guard and continued to do so until a police officer arrived. The police officer quickly learned the subject had previously been issued a written criminal trespass warning for the library and was then taken into custody. Occurred on 03/28/16 at 8:38 p.m. SAN ANTONIO PARKING GARAGE, 2420 San Antonio Criminal Trespass / Possession of Dangerous Drug: A patrolling police captain happened across a non-UT subject inside the garage. The police captain recognized the subject as someone who had just been issued a written criminal trespass warning just a few blocks away. Just like that, an arrest occurred. The subject was subsequently found to be in possession of .136 ounces of the synthetic cannabinoid called K2. Occurred on 03/28/16 at 2:10 p.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 19 Alarm Reports, 7 Traffic Violations, 4 Motor Vehicle Collisions, 7 Suspicious Activity Reports, 6 Medical Emergency Assist Requests, 1 Welfare Concern Report, and 3 Public Assist Requests between 03/28/16 and 03/29/16.
