Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Monday, 04/18/16 and Tuesday, 04/19/16. 300 Inner Campus Drive Theft: It was reported to UTPD that a black bicycle was stolen from the bike racks of Sutton Hall. The suspect was seen riding the bicycle and arrested. Occurred on 04/18/16 at 10:21 a.m. 21st Street and San Jacinto Boulevard Bridge Graffiti: Graffiti was placed on the bridge located at 21st ST and San Jacinto Blvd. Removal cost: $100.00. Discovered on 04/05/16 at 9:51 a.m. WEST MALL, 2300 Whitis Avenue Assault by Contact: UT Police Officers responded to the West Mall for a report of an assault. Officers determined a non-UT male subject pushed a male UT student in the chest after a verbal altercation. No injuries were sustained. The non-UT subject was issued a court appearance citation for Assault by Contact and was given a written trespass warning. Occurred on 04/18/16 at 6:52 p.m. 200 Inner Campus Drive Criminal Trespass: While on patrol, a UT Police Officer observed a non-UT subject walking with two bicycles. The officer questioned the subject about the bicycles and the subject said he got one of the bicycles out of a bike rack on campus. The subject had a prior criminal trespass warning on file, with UTPD, from 2015. Occurred on 04/19/16 at 12:58 a.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 24 Alarm Reports, 1 “911” Call Report, 5 Suspicious Activity Reports, 3 Suspicious Person Reports, 12 Traffic Violations, 2 Motor Vehicle Collision Reports, 2 Assist Another Agency Reports, 1 Welfare Concern Report, 10 Courtesy Escorts, and 5 Public Assist Requests between 04/18/16 and 04/19/16.
