Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Tuesday, 04/19/16 and Wednesday, 04/20/16. BLANTON MUSEUM OF ART, 200 East Martin Luther King Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was found sleeping on a bench located on the west side of the building. The subject was awakened and issued a written criminal trespass warning. Occurred on 04/19/16 at 7:05 a.m. CHEMICAL PETROLEUM ENGINEERING, 200 East Dean Keeton Graffiti: A permanent black marker was used to draw an image and write words on an oil manufacturing display piece located on the west side of the building. Removal cost: $50.00. Discovered on 04/19/16 at 5:16 p.m. JESTER WEST, 201 East 21st Street Assault: UT Police Officers responded to a report of a fight between two roommates. Upon arrival, officers learned one of the roommates punched the other in the torso prior to leaving the room. The roommate that was struck did not wish to file criminal charges. Reported on 04/19/16 at 3:15 p.m. 2600 Speedway Theft: A black and red Honda Rukus motor scooter was stolen while it was parked near the intersection of Dean Keeton Street and Speedway. Loss value: $2,000.00. Occurred between 04/18/16 at 2:30 p.m. and 04/19/16 at 4:00 p.m. 100 West 24th Street Stopping, Standing or Parking Where Prohibited / Driving While Intoxicated / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: A non-UT subject was observed stopping his vehicle in a crosswalk located at the intersection of 24th Street and Speedway. The subject remained there for some time causing several other vehicles to cross against the center line to pass in the intersection. When stopped, the driver was found to be intoxicated to the point he was deemed to have been driving while intoxicated. The driver was also found to be in possession of a small glass pipe containing burned marijuana residue. Occurred on 04/19/16 at 11:43 p.m. 500 West 24th Street Reckless Driving: A UT faculty member and a UT staff member reported a reckless driver to the UT Police Department. The vehicle was later located in the San Antonio Parking Garage. Attempts to identify the driver are underway. Occurred on 04/19/16 at 7:50 a.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 17 Alarm Reports, 1 “Police Help” Callbox Activation, 2 Suspicious Activity Reports, 1 Suspicious Vehicle Report, 5 Suspicious Person Reports, 9 Traffic Violations, 1 Motor Vehicle Collision Report, 2 Welfare Concern Reports, 1 Unsecured Doro Report, 2 Found Property Reports, 11 Courtesy Escorts, 28 Foot Patrols and 5 Public Assist Requests between 04/19/16 and 04/20/16.
