Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Wednesday, 04/20/16 and Thursday, 04/21/16. ASHBEL SMITH PARKING GARAGE, 601 Colorado Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was found loitering on the 1st level of the garage. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning and escorted from the garage. Occurred on 04/20/16 at 10:00 a.m. J NEILS THOMPSON COMMONS BUILDING, 2901 Read Grandberry Theft: Two cellular telephones that had been shipped to the J Neils Thompson Commons Building were stolen from a 1st floor room before they were delivered to the end user. Loss value: $600.00. Occurred between 01/19/16 at 8:00 a.m. and 04/19/16 at 1:00 p.m. MEZES HALL, 154 West 21st Street Theft: An Apple iPhone 5 was stolen after it was left on a bench located in a second floor hallway. Loss value: $500.00. Occurred on 04/20/16 between 12:50 p.m. and 12:55 p.m. PARKING LOT 103, 2100 Comal Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The left rear plastic window to a Jeep Wrangler soft-top was cut. A JVC stereo was stolen from the dashboard of the Jeep. Repair cost: $300.00. Loss value: $100.00. Occurred on 04/20/16 between 2:30 p.m. and 5.15 p.m. SAN JACINTO RESIDENCE HALL, 309 East 21st Street Assault (2 Counts): Two roommates got into an argument which led to both parties engaging in a physical altercation. Reported on 04/20/16 at 2:20 p.m. WEST MALL Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was reported as soliciting money from pedestrians. The subject was located and issued a written criminal trespass warning. Occurred on 04/20/16 at 12:55 p.m. 100 East Martin Luther King Public Intoxication / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A non-UT subject, who was under the age of 21, was stopped and found to have been intoxicated to the point he was a danger to himself. The subject was turned over to a sober friend and issued a citation for the consumption of alcohol by a minor. Occurred on 04/21/16 at 1:25 a.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 20 Alarm Reports, 7 Suspicious Activity Reports, 4 Suspicious Vehicle Reports, 7 Suspicious Person Reports, 1 Suspicious Package Report, 1 Noise Complaint, 3 Traffic Control Assists, 6 Traffic Violations, 2 Motor Vehicle Collision Reports, 2 Welfare Concern Reports, 17 Courtesy Escorts, 16 Foot Patrols and 3 Public Assist Requests between 04/20/16 and 04/21/16.
