Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Tuesday, 04/26/16 and Wednesday, 04/27/16. GREGORY GYMNASIUM, 2101 Speedway Theft: A UT staff member placed his belongings inside a 2nd floor men's locker room. The staff member secured the locker with a combination padlock. When the staff member returned to the locker, he discovered the locker door was open. $156.00 in U.S. currency was stolen from the locker. Occurred on 04/26/16 between 3:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. KINSOLVING DORMITORY, 2605 Whitis Theft: The front wheel of a Schwinn bicycle was stolen while the frame of the bicycle was secured to a bicycle rack located on the west side of the residence hall. Loss value: $35.00. Occurred between 04/22/16 at 3:00 p.m. and 04/25/16 at 3:00 p.m. MOOREHILL HALL DORMITORY, 214 East 21st Street Theft: An unknown make and model bicycle that was silver in color was stolen while it was secured with a cable lock to the bicycle racks located on the south side of the residence hall. Loss value; $50.00. Occurred between 04/22/16 at 2:00 p.m. and 04/25/16 at 12 noon. 2200 Guadalupe Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was observed stumbling near the roadway. A check of the subject showed he had an outstanding, outside agency arrest warrant for public intoxication. Occurred on 04/26/16 at 4:29 p.m. 2600 University Burglary of Motor Vehicle: A backpack containing an Apple MacBook Pro was stolen from the front seat of a parked and unattended Toyota Camry. There were marks near a rear window that suggested a lock tool was used to unlock the door. Loss value: $1,500.00. Occurred on 04/26/16 between 10:00 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. 801 West 24th Street Credit Card Abuse: A UT student reported an unknown subject obtained his credit card information and used that information to make an unauthorized transaction in the amount of $1,484.80. Reported on 04/26/16 at 4:20 p.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 21 Alarm Reports, 1 “Police Help” Callbox Activation, 7 Suspicious Activity Reports, 6 Suspicious Person Reports, 1 Suspicious Vehicle Report, 11 Traffic Violations, 1 Motor Vehicle Collision, 15 Courtesy Escorts, 20 Foot Patrols, 5 Medical Emergency Assists, 1 Stuck elevator Report, 1 Accidental Damage Report, 1 Traffic Control Assist, 3 Motorist Assist, 1 Unsecured Door Report, 2 Welfare Concern Reports, and 6 Public Assist Requests between 04/26/16 and 04/27/16.
