Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Wednesday, 05/04/16 and Thursday 05/05/16. 2300 BLOCK OF SPEEDWAY AVE Public Intoxication: UTPD Dispatch received an anonymous call stating there was an intoxicated person in this area. UTPD Officers responded and located a non-UT subject who had trouble walking due to his level of intoxication. Officers arrested the subject for Public Intoxication. Occurred on 05/05/16 at 12:53 a.m. JESTER WEST DORMITORY, 201 E 21st St Public Intoxication: UTPD Dispatch received a call about a suspicious person sitting on the steps outside this location. The caller stated that the person was talking to himself and punching at the air. Officers responded and determined the person was intoxicated to the degree that he was a danger to himself and others. Officers placed him under arrest for Public Intoxication. Occurred on 05/05/16 at 1:14 a.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 19 Alarm Reports, 5 Suspicious Activity Reports, 13 Traffic Violations, 1 Assist Other Law Enforcement Agency Request, 1 Emergency “Police Help†Callbox Activation, and 3 Public Assist Requests between and 05/04/16 and 05/05/16.
