Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Thursday, 05/05/16 and Friday, 05/06/16. COLLEGE OF LIBERAL ARTS, 305 East 23rd Street Criminal Trespass Warning / Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was reported as smoking a cigarette inside the building while soliciting students for money. The subject was located and found to have outstanding, outside agency arrest warrants out of Austin for theft of service and aggressive solicitation (x2). In addition to being provided a ride to the local magistrate, the subject was also issued a written criminal trespass warning. Occurred on 05/05/16 at 8:55 a.m. FACILITIES SERVICES NUMBER 7, 1300 Manor Road Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was observed using a water hose at the gas pumps to “wash off.” To prove the water hoses are not make-shift shower units, the subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning. Occurred on 05/05/16 at 7:00 p.m. SAN ANTONIO PARKING GARAGE, 2420 San Antonio Criminal Trespass Warning / Assist Outside Agency: A UT police officer happened across a non-UT subject sleeping on the 6th level of the parking garage. The subject was awakened and found to have an outstanding, outside agency arrest warrant for driving while intoxicated (3rd degree felony). In addition to being taken into custody for the warrant, the subject was also issued a written criminal trespass warning. Occurred on 05/06/16 at 5:19 a.m. UNIVERSITY POLICE BUILDING, 2201 Robert Dedman Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information: A UT student came to the police department to report her social security number had been used to empty and close a bank account in her name without her knowledge. Reported on 05/05/16 at 11:30 a.m. WEST MALL Criminal Trespass Warning / Assist Outside Agency: A foot patrol officer observed a subject acting erratically while riding a bicycle on the West Mall. When stopped, it was discovered the subject had an outstanding, outside agency arrest warrant for terroristic threat on a public servant from Laredo, Texas and six outstanding, outside agency arrest warrants out of Austin for pedestrian crossing against the light (x3), sitting or lying on a sidewalk (x2) and pedestrian crossing mid-block. The subject was taken into custody. In addition to other law enforcement action taken, the subject was also issued a written criminal trespass warning. Occurred on 05/05/16 at 9:46 p.m. 2100 Guadalupe Possession of Marijuana / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: While performing a foot patrol of the area, a UT police officer's nose led him to a non-UT subject who was actively smoking a hand rolled cigarette containing marijuana. The subject was found to be in possession of .01 ounces of marijuana and rolling papers. Occurred on 05/05/16 at 4:34 p.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 16 Alarm Reports, 2 “Police Help” Callbox Activations, 1 Fire Alarm Activation, 1 Suspicious Activity Report, 3 Suspicious Person Reports, 2 Suspicious Vehicle Reports, 1 Suspicious Package Report, 16 Traffic Violations, 12 Courtesy Escorts, 13 Foot Patrols, 1 Found Property report, 1 Medical Emergency Assist, and 7 Public Assist Requests between 05/05/16 and 05/06/16.
