Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Tuesday, 05/17/16 and Wednesday, 05/18/16. ANDREWS RESIDENCE HALL, 2401 Whitis Theft: A maroon and white Bontrager SSR bicycle was stolen when it was locked to the bicycle rack located on the north side of the residence hall. Loss value: $300.00. Occurred between 02/21/16 and 03/14/16. ANDREWS RESIDENCE HALL, 2401 Whitis Theft: While investigating the above bike theft case, a student approached the police officer to report her bicycle had also been stolen. The reporting person did not know the make or model of the bicycle but described it as being black in color. The bicycle was stolen while it was locked to a bicycle rack located on the north side of the residence hall. Loss value: $200.00. Occurred between 05/17/16 at 3:00 p.m. and 05/18/16 at 12:46 a.m. WILL C. HOGG, 120 Inner Campus Drive Theft: A black leather purse containing a yellow rain coat, an Apple iPad, and a ten dollar bill was stolen after it was left in an unsecured 3rd floor room. Loss value: $225.00. Occurred on 05/17/16 between 6:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 22 Alarm Reports, 4 Suspicious Activity Reports, 2 Suspicious Vehicle Reports,11 Traffic Violations, 1 Motor Vehicle Collision Report, 1 Traffic Control Assist, 4 Courtesy Escorts, 3 Foot Patrols, 1 Medical Emergency Assist, 1 Welfare Concern Report, 2 Unsecured Door Reports, 1 Stuck Elevator Report, 1 Found Property Report, and 2 Public Assist Requests between 05/17/16 and 05/18/16.
