Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Wednesday, 05/25/16 and Thursday, 05/26/16. AT&T EXECUTIVE EDUCATION AND CONFERENCE CENTER, 1900 University Theft / Theft of Service: After a registered guest of the four-star hotel checked out, staff discovered the complimentary in-room iPad was missing from the room. During his stay, the guest, or as we now refer to him, the thief, incurred a room charge of $32.00. The credit card used to pay that charge was flagged by the credit card company as a fraudulent charge. Loss value: $460.00. Reported on 05/25/16 at 9:50 a.m. BLANTON MUSEUM OF ART, 200 East Martin Luther King Graffiti: A silver paint pen was used to draw an image on a light pole located on the north side of the museum. Removal cost: $50.00. Reported on 05/25/16 at 2:18 p.m. PERFORMING ARTS CENTER, 400 East 23rd Street Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was reported as soliciting money from patrons on the south side of the building. The subject was located and issued a written criminal trespass warning. Occurred on 05/25/16 at 2:05 p.m. PERRY-CASTAÑEDA LIBRARY, 101 East 21st Street Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was reported as having difficulty maintaining his balance. Officers found the subject and determine he did indeed have such difficulties as he was barely able to sit on a bench without assistance. It was determined the subject was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point Austin-Travis County EMS needed to transport him to a local hospital for the treatment of alcohol poisoning. Occurred on 05/25/16 at 3:59 p.m. UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS ADMINISTRATION, 1616 Guadalupe Criminal Trespass Warning (2 counts): Two non-UT subjects were found drinking alcoholic beverages while loitering on the south side of the building. Both subjects were identified and issued written criminal trespass warnings. Occurred on 05/25/16 at 7:15 p.m. 1900 Guadalupe Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was stopped for driving a motor vehicle with an expired registration. The subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for driving with an invalid driver's license. Occurred on 05/25/16 at 7:53 p.m. 2600 Nueces Public Intoxication: A patrol officer found a non-UT subject tending to her friend who was passed out on the side of the road. The friend, who was also a non-UT subject, was found to have consumed an excessive amount of ETOH. That subject was intoxicated to the point Austin-Travis County EMS needed to transport her to a local hospital for the treatment of alcohol poisoning. Occurred on 05/25/16 at 11:30 p.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 13 Alarm Reports, 1 Fire Alarm Activation, 8 Suspicious Activity Reports, 6 Traffic Violations, 2 Courtesy Escorts, 6 Foot Patrols, 1 Unsecured Door Report, 2 Lighting Surveys, 1 Stuck Elevator Report, 1 Medical Emergency Assist, and 2 Public Assist Requests between 05/25/16 and 05/26/16.
