Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Friday, 06/17/16 and Monday, 06/20/16. COLLEGE OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, 2110 Speedway Theft: Two Michael Kors smartphone wristlets were stolen out of an unsecured desk drawer located inside a 2nd floor office. The reporting person advised she had noticed candy missing from her office in the past but never reported those thefts. Loss value (minus the candy): $206.00. Occurred between 06/16/16 at 4:00 p.m. and 06/17/16 at 8:00 a.m. JOE JAMAIL TEXAS SWIM CENTER, 1815 Trinity Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was reported as following people around the exterior of the swim center. The subject was located after he entered the Trinity parking Garage and activated a “Police Help” callbox. The subject stated he did not need any police assistance and was issued a written criminal trespass warning. Occurred on 06/17/16 at 1:10 p.m. UNIVERSITY SIGN SHOP, 2920 San Jacinto Graffiti: Purple spray paint was used to write a word and draw an image on two different exterior walls. Removal cost: $100.00. Discovered on 06/18/16 at 1:48 p.m. WALTER WEBB HALL, 405 West 25th Street Graffiti: Black and white spray paint was used to write a word on the north exterior wall of the building. Removal cost: $200.00. Occurred between 06/14/16 at 7:20 a.m. and 06/16/16 at 12 noon. 400 West Martin Luther King Driving Without a License / Possession of Marijuana: A non-UT subject was stopped for driving left of the center line on the roadway. The rolling down of the driver's side window released a plume of a distinctive odor. The officer recognized the odor as marijuana and asked the driver and his non-UT passenger to step out of the vehicle. The officer discovered two plastic bags containing a total of .04 ounces of marijuana. The passenger claimed ownership of the marijuana. The driver was found to have been operating the vehicle without a driver's license. Occurred on 06/18/16 at 3:28 a.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 39 Alarm Reports, 2 “Police Help” Callbox Activations, 33 Traffic Violations, 5 Motor Vehicle Collisions, 2 Courtesy Escorts, 18 Suspicious Activity Reports, 2 Medical Emergency Assists, 3 Unsecured Door Reports, and 10 Public Assist Requests between 06/17/16 and 06/20/16.
