Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Monday, 06/20/16 and Tuesday, 06/21/16. BENEDICT HALL, 150 West 21st Street Theft: An Extron USB extender was stolen form a 1st floor classroom media console. Loss value: $100.00. Occurred between 06/13/16 and 06/20/16. CONNALLY CENTER FOR JUSTICE, 726 East 25th Street Graffiti: Black spray paint was used to write illegible words on a landscaping retaining wall located on the north side of the building. Removal cost: $75.00. Discovered on 06/20/16 at 5:15 p.m. NORM HACKERMAN BUILDING, 100 East 24th Street Assist Outside Agency: While investigating a report of a subject who was following pedestrians, a police officer located a subject matching the description of the subject a few blocks away. The non-UT subject was found to have TEN – yes TEN, outstanding outside agency arrest warrants. The arrest warrants were for Pedestrian in the Roadway (5 warrants), Pedestrian Crossing Mid-block, and Aggressive Solicitation (4 warrants). Occurred on 06/20/16 at 5:58 p.m. PARKING LOT 109, 1510 East 21st Street Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The left front window was broken out of a Honda four door while the vehicle was parked and unattended. A Pioneer car stereo was stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $300.00. Loss value: $250.00. Occurred on 06/20/16 between 10:05 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. San Antonio and 23rd Street Public Intoxication: A UT police officer observed a non-UT subject sitting on a curb. The officer's interest in the subject grew as the subject began to throw objects at passing pedestrians. The subject exclaimed his dislike for the police as the officer approached. The cause of the subject's anger became clear when the subject then yelled that he had just spilled his beer. Apparently, most of the subject's beer had already been consumed as he was found to be intoxicated to the point he was a danger to himself and others. Occurred on 06/20/16 at 9:19 p.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 16 Alarm Reports, 1 “Police Help” Callbox Activation, 1 Fire Alarm Activation, 14 Traffic Violations, 1 Motor Vehicle Collision, 1 Courtesy Escort, 5 Suspicious Activity Reports, 2 Medical Emergency Assists, 3 Unsecured Door Reports, 1 Malfunctioning Light Report, and 3 Public Assist Requests between 06/20/16 and 06/21/16.
