Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Thursday, 06/23/16 to Friday, 06/24/16. COLORADO APARTMENTS, 2501 Lake Austin Blvd Burglary of a Motor Vehicle x2 /Credit Card Abuse: UTPD Officers responded to a report of a car that had been broken into at this location. Upon investigation, officers found that a credit card, taken from the unlocked vehicle, had also been used to make fraudulent purchases. While taking this report, a second person approached the officers and reported that they found several items, including mail that belonged to them, thrown around the walkways nearby. That person believed that their vehicle had been broken into as well, but that no items of value had been taken. Estimated loss value: $20.58. Occurred between 06/22/16 at 6:00 P.M and 06/23/16 at 7:00 A.M. WALTER WEBB HALL, 405 West 25th Street Criminal Trespass Warning: UTPD Dispatch received a report of a person harassing pedestrians at this location. The man was described as wearing pink bunny ears and black tights. Unsurprisingly, officers were immediately able to identify the non-UT subject, who told them that he was trying to sell jewelry to students. Officers informed him that he would not be able to do so in the form for a written criminal trespass warning. Occurred on 06/23/16 at 1:52 P.M. UT ALUMNI CENTER, 2110 San Jacinto Blvd Public Intoxication: UTPD Officers located a non-UT subject asleep on the sidewalk near the Alumni Center. They immediately noticed that the person was in a state of undress while lying on the hot sidewalk. After determining that the person did not need medical attention, they began to suspect that he was intoxicated due to the fact that he told them that he was hot so he decided to take a nap. Officers provided him with a cooler place to sleep, the county jail. Occurred on 06/23/16 at 4:15 P.M. SPEEDWAY GARAGE, 105 E 27th Street Theft: A UT staff member reported that their bicycle had been stolen from this location. The bicycle had been secured with a cable lock that was not found. Estimate loss value: $320. Occurred on 06/21/16 between 1:00 P.M. and 4:30 P.M. PARLIN HALL, 208 W 21st Street Criminal Mischief: UTPD Officers responded to a call of damaged UT property at this location. Officers found that a USB cable had been intentionally cut. Estimated loss value: $30. Occurred between 06/22/16 at 4:00 P.M. and 06/23/16 at 2:00 P.M. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 17 Alarm Reports , 11 Traffic Violations, 2 Motor Vehicle Collisions, 4 Unsecured Door Reports, 8 Malfunctioning Light Reports, 1 Found Property Report, 2 Medical Assist Requests, 2 Assist Other Law Enforcement Agency Requests, and 8 Foot Patrols between 06/22/16 and 06/23/16.
