Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Friday, 06/24/16 and Monday, 06/27/16. CLAUDIA TAYLOR JOHNSON, 210 West 6th Street Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was found exhibiting a severe involuntary physical reaction to the over-consumption of an alcoholic beverage while seated on a bus stop bench. The subject was unable to stand without losing her balance. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point two police officers and three medics needed to physically carry the subject to an awaiting ambulance so she could be transported to a local hospital for further treatment. Occurred on 06/24/16 at 8:33 p.m. DOBIE MALL, 2021 Guadalupe (non-UT Property) Indecent Exposure: A non-UT subject reported after bowing down to the porcelain thrown and making an offering, he looked up to see someone peering down over the restroom stall wall. The peeper then kneeled down in the adjoining restroom stall and allowed his unmentionables to be displayed under the same stall wall. The creepy peeper was taken into custody. Occurred on 06/25/16 at 8:00 p.m. JESTER ACADEMIC, 201 East 21st Street Graffiti: Red spray paint was used to write words on a wall located inside a 1st floor stairwell landing. Removal cost: $75.00. Discovered on 06/25/16 at 10:47 p.m. L. THEO BELLMONT HALL, 2109 San Jacinto Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was reported as loitering inside the building. The subject was found in lobby of the building and was issued a written criminal trespass warning. Occurred on 06/24/16 at 8:45 p.m. LITTLEFIELD FOUNTAIN, 200 West 21st Street Criminal Mischief: A unknown person or persons removed two parking regulation signs from the side of the road and relocated them to the lower water filled basin of the fountain. Repair cost: $150.00. Discovered on 06/26/16 at 10:25 p.m. WATSON HOUSE, 500 East 18th Street Graffiti: Green and white spray paint were used to write words on two interior walls of a storage building located on the property. Removal cost: $100.00. Discovered on 06/27/16 at 4:16 a.m. 2300 Guadalupe Possession of Marijuana: A non-UT subject was observed walking with an open container of alcohol in a prohibited area. When a UT police officer directed the subject to stop, the subject immediately turned around and emptied the contents of his pockets. One item the subject had removed from his pocket was a plastic baggie containing .09 ounces of marijuana. Occurred on 06/26/16 at 10:17 p.m. 2300 Guadalupe Graffiti / Failure To Identify: A non-UT subject was reported as spray painting words on a newsstand box and a planter box after haphazardly parking his black Audi 4-door. The subject initially provided fictitious identifying information when stopped. Removal cost: $100.00. Occurred on 06/24/16 at 2:22 p.m. 200 East Martin Luther King Possession of Controlled Substance / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: A UT police officer came across a vehicle stopped on the side of the road with a flat tire. The officer approached the passenger seat and found the sole occupant of the vehicle sitting in the passenger seat and drooling excessively. The officer then noted a plastic baggie tucked under the passenger side floor mat. The plastic baggie contained 14.37 grams of cocaine. In addition, the officer located a spoon with markings indicative of cooking drugs prior to injecting them. The non-UT subject was taken into custody and his vehicle was towed from the scene. Occurred on 06/25/16 at 9:21 p.m. 1900 Nueces Assist Outside Agency / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: A non-UT subject was found sleeping an alleyway. The subject was awoken and found to have two outstanding outside agency arrest warrants for the possession of alcohol in a prohibited area and for the possession of drug paraphernalia. The subject was also found to be in possession of four hypodermic needles which were determined to be used to inject illicit substances. Occurred on 06/26/16 at 3:59 a.m. 200 West 18th Street Reckless Driving: A UT police officer observed two subjects driving motorcycles in a very erratic and dangerous manner. The officer attempted to make a traffic stop after witnessing the motorcyclists run a stop sign, run a red light, cut in and out of traffic at a very high rate of speed. One of the non-UT subjects was stopped after he attempted to conceal himself behind a truck in a loading dock located in the 2300 block of Guadalupe. The other motorcyclist sped away and was not apprehended. The subject who was apprehended stated he was not in his right mind and had driven that way because his friend was driving that way. Well, if your friend jumped off of a cliff…Occurred on 06/24/16 at 9:51 p.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 48 Alarm Reports , 2 Fire Alarm Activations, 2 “Police Help” Callbox Activations, 15 Traffic Violations, 2 Motor Vehicle Collisions, 4 Unsecured Door Reports, 1 Malfunctioning Light Report, 6 Found Property Reports, 1 Medical Assist Request, 24 Foot Patrols, 3 Courtesy Escorts, 16 Suspicious Activity Reports, and 7 Public Assists between 06/24/16 and 06/27/16.
