Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Monday, 06/27/16 and Tuesday, 06/28/16. ERNEST COCKRELL Jr. HALL, 301 East Dean Keeton Theft: A black ASUS laptop computer was stolen from a basement level lab. Loss value: $150.00. Occurred between 06/24/16 at 5:45 p.m. and 06/26/16 at 10:00 a.m. JOE JAMAIL TEXAS SWIM CENTER, 1900 Red River Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was reported as walking in the roadway and beating on the windows of passing motorists. The subject was found sitting on the exterior stairs located on the north side of the building. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning. Occurred on 06/27/16 at 10:54 a.m. L. THEO BELLMONT HALL, 2109 San Jacinto Theft: An unidentified subject was reported to have been acting suspiciously as he walked in and out of a retail store located on the west side of the building. After leaving the store, a store employee noticed several empty clothing hangers on the racks that were not empty when the subject entered the store. In all, five pairs of pants and ten shirts were stolen from the store. The subject was described as Black male, approximately 6' tall with a medium build, and last seen wearing a dark colored t-shirt, flat brimmed hat, dark athletic shorts, dark colored sneakers and in possession of a dark colored backpack that was about the size to hold five pairs of pants and ten shirts. Loss value: $400.00. Occurred on 06/27/16 at approximately 3:15 p.m. WALTER WEBB HALL, 405 West 25th Street Graffiti: Orange spray paint was used to write an illegible word on the east wall of the building. Removal cost: $150.00. Discovered on 06/27/16 at 4:40 p.m. 1900 Nueces Possession of Dangerous Drug / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: A non-UT subject was found sleeping in the alleyway. The police officer woke the subject only to discover the subject was in possession of a hand-made plastic pipe and a wood pipe containing burned synthetic cannabinoid residue. The subject was also found to be in possession of a hand-rolled cigarette containing .01 ounces of synthetic cannabinoids. Occurred on 06/27/16 at 9:56 p.m. 200 East 21st Street Driving While License Suspended: A non-UT subject was stopped for making a right hand turn on a red light where prohibited to do so by a posted sign. The subject was found to have a suspended license and no proof of financial liability. Occurred on 06/27/16 at 11:56 p.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 14 Alarm Reports , 3 Traffic Violations, 2 Motor Vehicle Collisions, 2 Unsecured Door Reports, 7 Foot Patrols, 1 Courtesy Escorts, 5 Suspicious Activity Reports, and 4 Public Assists between 06/27/16 and 06/28/16.
