Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Wednesday, 06/29/16 and Thursday, 06/29/16. MAIN BUILDING, 110 Inner Campus Drive Criminal Trespass Warning: A UT staff member reported entering her first floor office suite to find a female subject wandering around the office. The subject claimed it was her first day as a student employee and excused herself to go use the restroom facilities. When the subject failed to return in a reasonable amount of time to use such facilities, the police were summoned to the scene. While on-scene, the subject returned to the office to retrieve some of her property. The subject apologized and stated she actually worked at the Perry Castaneda Library and thought she was to meet her new supervisor in the Main Building. After the subject retrieved most of her belongings, she left the area. A check of the subject's name showed she had not been a student in two years and did not hold a job with The University of Texas. Later that same day, the subject returned to the office to locate a hat she had left in the office. The police were again summoned to the scene. This time, the subject left with her hat and a criminal trespass warning. Occurred on 06/29/16 at 8:22 a.m. and at 3:21 a.m. UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, 1616 Guadalupe Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was reported as sleeping on the loading dock of the building. When located, the subject stated he had been sleeping because he was tired – but of course. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning. Occurred on 06/29/16 at 9:08 a.m. 2700 Guadalupe Possession of Drug Paraphernalia / Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle: A non-UT subject was stopped for driving a motor vehicle with an expired registration. Upon approach of the vehicle, the officer detected a strong odor of burned marijuana. A partially burned, hand-rolled cigarette containing burned marijuana residue was located in the front ashtray of the vehicle. An open bottle of whiskey was also found inside the vehicle. Occurred on 06/29/16 at 9:00 p.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 18 Alarm Reports , 1 Fire Alarm Activation, 8 Traffic Violations, 2 Motor Vehicle Collisions, 1 Unsecured Door Report, 7 Foot Patrols, 8 Malfunctioning Light Reports, 1 Lighting Survey, 4 Suspicious Activity Reports, and 1 Public Assist between 06/29/16 and 06/30/16.
