Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Friday, 07/08/16 and Monday, 07/11/16. JESTER WEST, 201 East 21st Street Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was observed having an argument with a tree. It was unclear what the argument was about or who was winning the argument but the written criminal trespass warning was very clear. As the subject left shortly after receiving it from the UT police officer. Occurred on 07/09/16 at 6:31 a.m. WALTER WEBB HALL, 405 West 25th Street Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was reported as soliciting donations for the luxury of hearing the subject perform a street concert with his guitar. The recital was interrupted with the issuance of a written criminal trespass warning. Occurred on 07/09/16 at 7:20 p.m. WILLIAM RANDOLPH HEARST BUILDING, 2504 C Whitis Harassment: A UT student reported receiving a telephone call that was unwanted and annoying. This was the second time the student had received this type of telephone call. The police officer used the *57 feature on the campus telephone to trap the number of the caller. The caller was contacted and directed to cease any and all calls to the student. Occurred on 07/11/16 at 1:00 a.m. 1900 Speedway Robbery: UT police officers responded to a report of someone yelling for help. Officers found a non-UT subject holding another non-UT subject on the ground. The subject holding the other one to the ground stated he had been followed by the other subject for several blocks before the other subject approached him from behind while brandishing a set of brass knuckles. The suspect stole $120.00 from the victim's pocket. The victim chased the subject down and tackled him. During the fracas, the suspect struck the victim in the shin with the brass knuckles. The victim gained control of the suspect and summoned police assistance. Occurred on 07/10/16 at 6:34 a.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 54 Alarm Reports , 1 “Police Help” Callbox Activation, 20 Traffic Violations, 1 Motor Vehicle Collision, 27 Foot Patrols, 6 Courtesy Escorts, 11 Suspicious Activity Reports, 2 Welfare Concern Reports, 3 Malfunctioning Light Reports, 1 Medical emergency Report, and 8 Public Assists between 07/08/16 and 07/11/16.
