Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Wednesday, 07/13/16 and Thursday, 07/14/16. AT&T EXECUTIVE EDUCATION & CONFERENCE CENTER, 1900 University Theft: UT Staff members reported a former bartender in the Gabriel's Café left work on his last day of employment but failed to turn in his cashier bank of $500.00. Occurred on 05/27/16 at 12:09 a.m. Reported on 07/13/16 at 1:35 p.m. COLLEGE OF LIBERAL ARTS, 305 East 21st Street Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was reported as walking around the exterior of the building while grunting at people. The subject was located and found to have no official business on campus. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning. Occurred on 07/13/16 at 5:00 p.m. 600 Colorado Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was found “curled-up in a ball next to the building.” The subject acted in a “hysterical” manner and requested the officers leave her alone. The officer refused to leave her alone and determined she was intoxicated to the point Austin-Travis County EMS needed to transport her to a local hospital for treatment of alcohol poisoning. Occurred on 07/14/16 at 12:20 a.m. 2300 Robert Dedman Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was reported as standing in the middle of the roadway. The subject was escorted out of the roadway and issued a written criminal trespass warning. Occurred on 07/13/16 at 6:00 p.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 25 Alarm Reports, 1 “Police Help” Callbox Activation, 3 Fire Alarm Activations, 2 Traffic Violations, 3 Motor Vehicle Collision Reports, 3 Found Property Reports, 4 Foot Patrols, 1 Unsecured Door Report, 2 Welfare Concern Reports, 9 Suspicious Activity Reports, and 6 Public Assists between 07/13/16 and 07/14/16.
