Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Tuesday, 07/19/16 and Wednesday. 07/20/16. BELO CENTER FOR NEW MEDIA, 300 West Dean Keeton Burglary of Building: An unknown subject entered a 1st floor office suite and a second floor office suite and stole several items to include an Apple laptop computer, a laptop computer bag, a pair of ear-buds, an Apple iPhone charging cable, an external hard drive, a laptop computer power cable, and four pairs of socks. Loss value: $1,079.00. Occurred between 07/18/16 at 10:00 p.m. and 07/19/16 at 4:00 a.m. SAN JACINTO RESIDENCE HALL, 309 East 21st Street Theft: A white and maroon colored Trek bicycle was stolen while it was secured with a cable lock to the bicycle racks located on the west side of the residence hall. Loss value: $250.00. Occurred between 07/14/16 at 8:00 p.m. and 07/18/16 at 8:30 p.m. UNIVERSITY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION, 2244 Guadalupe (non-UT property) Assist Outside Agency: UT police officers responded to the credit union after receiving information that a fraud suspect may be at that location. The responding officer located the non-UT subject and determined the subject did have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for fraud. Occurred on 07/19/16 at 2:36 p.m. 700 East Clyde Littlefield Driving While Intoxicated: A UT police officer rushed to the scene after hearing a thunderous noise just east of the University Police Building. The officer found the remnants of a collision between a vehicle driven by a non-UT subject and a parked car. The driver of the vehicle was found to have been driving and wrecking while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Fortunately, there were no injuries. Occurred on 07/20/16 at 3:06 a.m. 2200 Guadalupe Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was found “passed out” on the steps to a local business. The UT police officer had a difficult time waking the subject and summoned Austin-Travis County EMS to the scene. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point EMS transported the subject to a local hospital for the treatment of alcohol poisoning. Occurred on 07/19/16 at 8:30 p.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 12 Alarm Reports, 15 Traffic Violations, 9 Foot Patrols, 1 Courtesy Escort, and 2 Public Assists between 07/19/16 and 07/20/16.
