Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Monday, 07/25/16 and Wednesday, 07/27/16. BENEDICT HALL, 150 W 21st Street Criminal Mischief: A UT faculty member reported two chairs had been damaged in a classroom. Estimated loss: $150. Occurred on 07/25/16 at 11:50 a.m. 2300 BLOCK OF GUADALUPE ST Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Possession of Marijuana 2oz or Less/Outside Agency Warrant (x2): A UTPD officer observed a non-UT subject smoking a pipe at this location. When the subject noticed the officer, he quickly put the burning pipe into a pocket of his shorts. When the officer spoke to him, he seemed eager to remove the pipe from his shorts. After placing him under arrest for the illegal substance that was in the pipe, our officers discovered he also had warrants for his arrest for similar behavior. Occurred on 07/26/at 8:36 a.m. NORTH END ZONE, 405 E 23rd Street Burglary: A UT staff member reported their office had been broken into. The staff member was unable to identify if any property was missing, but was unable to secure their door due to the damage. Estimated repair cost: $100. Occurred between 07/22/16 at 5:00 p.m. and 07/25/16 at 8:00 a.m. PERRY-CASTENADA LIBRARY, 101 E 21st Street Criminal Trespass Warning/Outside Agency Arrest Warrants (x3): A UTPD guard at this location, reported there was a person sleeping in the library at closing. UTPD officers responded and wrote the person a criminal trespass warning. While writing it, they discovered the man had several active arrest warrants from another law enforcement agency. Occurred on 07/27/16 at 12:40 a.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 27 Alarm Reports, 17 Traffic Violations, 12 Suspicious Activity Reports, 8 Foot Patrols, 4 Assist Other Law Enforcement Agency Requests, 1 Welfare Concern, 1 Found Property Report, 1 Medical Assist Request, and 5 Public Assists between 07/25/16 and 07/27/16.
