Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Thursday, 07/28/16 and Friday, 07/29/16. 2200 BLOCK OF ROBERT DEDMAN DR Public Intoxication: UTPD Dispatch received a call about an intoxicated person near this location. Officers responded and found a non-UT subject stumbling into the roadway. Once officers removed him from the roadway, they found that the man had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and clothing. When the man also had trouble standing unassisted, our officers placed him under arrest for Public Intoxication and issued him a written Criminal Trespass Warning. Occurred at 8:40 p.m. on 07/28/16. 2200 BLOCK OF ROBERT DEDMAN DR Possession of Marijuana 2oz or less/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: UTPD officers noticed a vehicle traveling past this location without its headlights on. When our officers stopped the car, they informed the UT student driver that there was a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After searching the vehicle, officers located both marijuana and several items used to aid in its consumption. The driver was issued citations for the offenses before being released at the scene. Occurred at 10:11 p.m. on 07/28/16. O'HENRY HALL, 600 Colorado Street Public Intoxication: While patrolling the area, UTPD officers came across a non-UT subject lying face down on the sidewalk. When they checked on the person, they found that his pants were unzipped in what appeared to be an unsuccessful attempt to urinate somewhere other than on his clothing. The officers determined that the subject was a danger to himself based on his level of intoxication and took him to the county jail. Occurred at 3:01 a.m. on 07/29/16. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 12 Alarm Reports, 10 Traffic Violations, 13 Suspicious Activity Reports, 2 Assist Other Law Enforcement Agency Requests, 7 Foot Patrols, 1 Motor Vehicle Collision, 1 Medical Assist Request, and 1 Public Assist between 07/28/16 and 07/29/16.
