Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Friday, 07/29/16 and Monday, 08/01/16. 2300 BLOCK OF GUADALUPE ST Disorderly Conduct (Exposes Genitals): UTPD Dispatch received several calls about a non-UT subject who was exposing his penis to people on the sidewalk at this location. One caller quickly pointed out the subject to officers when they arrived. Our officers afforded the subject with an opportunity to explain his behavior to a local magistrate in the form of a ride to the county jail. Occurred at 7:38 a.m. on 07/29/16. UNION BUILDING, 2308 Whitis Avenue Criminal Trespass Warning: UTPD officers were patrolling the area and noticed a person sleeping on the patio at this location. After determining the non-UT subject had no legitimate business on campus, they issued him a written criminal trespass warning. Occurred at 10:34 p.m. on 07/29/16. SAN ANTONIO GARAGE, 2420 San Antonio Street Criminal Trespass Warning: While patrolling the area, UTPD officers found a non-UT person sleeping in a stairwell of this building. After verifying that the man did not need medical assistance, officers issued him a written criminal trespass warning. Occurred at 12:00 a.m. on 07/30/16. 400 BLOCK OF W MARTIN LUTHER KING JR BLVD Driving While Intoxicated: UTPD officers patrolling in the area noticed a vehicle commit several traffic violations at this location. After stopping the UT student driver, officers could detect the odor of alcohol coming from the driver. Our officers found probable cause to place the driver under arrest since the driver was unable to operate the motor vehicle safely. Occurred at 12:59 a.m. on 07/31/16. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 48 Alarm Reports, 34 Traffic Violations, 13 Suspicious Activity Reports, 5 Assist Other Law Enforcement Agency Requests, 32 Foot Patrols, 1 Motor Vehicle Collision, 1 Welfare Concern, 1 Police “Emergency Help†Callbox Activation, 2 Unsecured Door Reports, and 9 Public Assists between 07/29/16 and 08/01/16.
