Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Tuesday, 08/02/16 and Wednesday, 08/03/16. MOLECULAR BIOLOGY BUILDING, 2500 Speedway Avenue Criminal Trespass: A UT staff member called in to report that a non-UT subject came into her office and told her that the non-UT subject had larvae coming out of her head. She also told the staff member she had some of them contained in a box that she was carrying. When the staff member did not observe any insects, she became concerned and reported the incident to UTPD. Officers were able to identify the subject based on the staff member's description as someone who had several active criminal trespass warnings for all UT property. Our officers are in the process of filing a warrant for Criminal Trespass. Occurred at 4:31 p.m. on 08/02/16. WEST MALL, 2400 Guadalupe Street Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: UTPD Dispatch received a call about a non-UT subject yelling at people in this location. Our officers responded and located a person matching that description. During their conversation about proper etiquette towards strangers, the man told officers that he had drug paraphernalia on his person. Our officers search him and located a small container commonly used to store and conceal marijuana. Our officers issued him a citation for the item after he confirmed that it was indeed used to store drugs. The subject was also issued a Criminal Trespass Warning for the UT campus. Occurred at 6:03 p.m. on 08/02/16. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 19 Alarm Reports, 7 Traffic Violations, 16 Suspicious Activity Reports, 6 Foot Patrols, 1 Motor Vehicle Collision, 1 Found Property Report, 3 Welfare Concerns, 2 Assist Other Law Enforcement Agency Requests, 1 Lost Property Report, 1 Police “Emergency Help” Callbox Activation, 1 Medical Assist Request, and 2 Public Assists between 08/02/16 and 08/03/16.
