Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Wednesday, 09/07/16 and Thursday, 09/08/16. WALTER WEBB HALL, 405 W 25th Street Graffiti: A UTPD officer found illegible writing made in white paint marker on a door at this location. Estimated cost of removal: $75. Discovered on 09/07/16 at 7:13 a.m. INTERSECTION OF MLK BLVD AND UNIVERSITY AVE Driving While License Invalid/Outside Agency Warrant (x3): A UTPD officer noticed a vehicle making an illegal turn at this location. When the officer spoke with the non-UT driver, he learned that the man had a suspended license, no insurance, and an expired vehicle registration. In addition to other law enforcement action, the man was also arrested for several warrants from other law enforcement agencies. Occurred on 09/07/16 at 9:20 a.m. SAN JACINTO HALL, 309 East 21st Street Theft: A UT student reported that his bicycle was stolen from the bicycle racks outside this location. The bicycle was secured to the racks with a cable lock. Estimated loss value: $160. Occurred between 09/03/16 at 3:00 p.m. and 09/07/16 at 2:00 p.m. Crime Prevention Tip: For information on how to secure your bicycle on campus, check this page of the Parking and Transportation website. UNION BUILDING, 2308 Whitis Avenue Theft: A UT student reported that several bags of clothing and textbooks were stolen from this location. The bags were left unattended for approximately 40 minutes. Estimated loss value: $500. Occurred on 09/05/16 between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. LITTLEFIELD CARRIAGE HOUSE, 2410 Whitis Avenue Graffiti: A UTPD officer found illegible writing made with a black permanent marker at this location Estimated cost of removal: $50. Discovered on 09/08/16 at 2:11 a.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 31 Alarm Reports, 4 Traffic Violations, 7 Suspicious Activity Reports, 2 Medical Emergencies, 1 “Police Help” Emergency Callbox Activation, 10 Foot Patrols, 3 Welfare Concerns, 2 Found Property Reports, 1 Motor Vehicle Collision, 1 Assist Other Law Enforcement Agency Request, and 10 Public Assists between 09/07/16 and 09/08/16.
