She stated that a man she did not recognize grabbed her arm and neck while trying to talk to her. An interview of the student's classmates revealed that one of them experienced a similar assault near the same area. Both students described the suspect as follows: Olive-complexion, dark hair with a neatly trimmed beard, about 5'7”, 25-30 years old, wearing dark colored clothing. Occurred on 09/12/16 between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. 2300 BLOCK OF GUADALUPE ST Assist Other Law Enforcement Agency: A UTPD officer noticed a non-UT subject sitting in front of a business which the officer knew did not want people loitering. When the officer identified the man, he found that he had an active felony warrant from another law enforcement agency. Our officer placed that subject under arrest and transported him to the county jail so that the other agency could serve the warrant. Occurred on 09/12/16 at 4:15 p.m. 10000 BLOCK OF WEST BURNET RD Driving While License Invalid: a UTPD officer was patrolling UT property when he noticed a vehicle crossing the center line of the median. The officer stopped and identified the non-UT driver, who apparently did not feel it was important to possess a valid driver's license or liability insurance. Our officer stressed the importance of both by placing the man under arrest. Occurred on 09/13/16 at 2:35 a.m. 300 BLOCK OF E 23RD ST Public Intoxication: UTPD Dispatch received a call about a possibly intoxicated person near the San Jacinto Garage. While responding to investigate, our officer noticed a non-UT male who was staggering down the sidewalk. When the man noticed the police car, he starting doing jumping jacks in order to get our officer's attention. The man was certainly successful and began to regale our officer with the tale of his journey home from a local drinking establishment. Unfortunately, due to the man's staggering level of intoxication, our officer was only able to make out a few words of the story. That level of intoxication also rendered the man unable to summon a sober friend and so officers were forced to place him under arrest.
