Our officers responded and located a non-UT subject who appeared to be asleep. When the man woke up, he became aggressive and started reaching for a nearby bag. Officers restrained him and found that the man was no longer in control of his bladder. Our officers concluded that the man was a danger to himself due to his level of intoxication and placed him under arrest. Occurred on 09/27/16 at 10:06 a.m. SAN ANTONIO GARAGE, 2420 San Antonio Street Criminal Trespass: UTPD dispatch received several calls about a group of people leaning against the parking garage structure and striking it with sticks. Our officers responded and located a group of three non-UT subjects who were engaging in that very activity. Two of the subjects were immediately cooperative with officers and received written criminal trespass warnings. The third subject expressed that he did not wish to let go of his stick and did not feel the need to listen to officers. UTPD officers relieved the man of his stick and placed him into handcuffs. They also found that the man had a previous criminal trespass notice from all UT property. While explaining this to the man, he expressed his disagreement by smashing his head on the hood of a UTPD vehicle. Our officers got the man medical attention, then transported him to the county jail for criminal trespass. Occurred on 09/27/16 at 8:30 p.m. SAN ANTONIO GARAGE, 2420 San Antonio Street Possession of Marijuana 2oz or Less: A UTPD officer noticed a sole vehicle parked at the top of this garage at an odd time. When he passed the vehicle, the brake lights came on and the officer continued his patrol. Sometime later, the officer noticed the same vehicle at the top of the garage and once again the brake lights came on as he passed. The officer found that odd and checked on the occupants of the vehicle. Our officer immediately detected the smell of marijuana wafting from the open window. A subsequent search of vehicle revealed a usable quantity of marijuana. The owner of the marijuana was issued a citation.
