Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Tuesday, 10/04/16 and Wednesday, 10/05/16. *** National Night Out: UTPD would like to thank everyone who hosted, participated, or attended National Night Out events over the past two days. Our job is impossible to do without your support and we always appreciate the opportunity to get to know our community better. *** SAN ANTONIO GARAGE, 2420 San Antonio Street Possession of Drug Paraphernalia / Possession of Marijuana Less than 2oz: A UTPD officer noticed two non-UT subjects behaving oddly with a pipe. As the officer approached them, the men attempted to hide the pipe and greeted our officer by saying that there was nothing left in it. Based on the smell in the area and the men's behavior, our officer suspected that there was an illegal substance in the pipe. When she asked the men directly, they confirmed that they had used the pipe to smoke marijuana and that they had more on their persons. Our officer seized the drugs and paraphernalia, then wrote both men citations for the offense. Occurred on 10/04/16 at 11:30 p.m. JESTER WEST DORMITORY, 201 East 21st Street Theft / Credit Card Abuse: A UT student reported that he lost his wallet at this location. When he checked his bank account, he found that there were several unauthorized transactions made with his debit card. Occurred on 10/03416 at 10:30 p.m. 2400 BLOCK OF SAN ANTONIO ST Possession of Marijuana Less than 2oz: A UTPD officer noticed a vehicle traveling the wrong way down this one-way street. Our officer stopped the vehicle and immediately detected the smell of marijuana coming from the car. The officers asked the UT student driver if there was any marijuana in the vehicle and she told them no, despite the fact that there was a hand-rolled cigarette sitting in plain view on the dashboard. Our officers searched the vehicle and located a usable quantity of marijuana. The driver was issued a citation and released.
