Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Monday, 10/17/16 and Tuesday, 10/18/16. TRINITY GARAGE, 1815 Trinity Street Criminal Trespass: A UT staff member reported that there was a man urinating in a stairwell at this location. Our officers responded and located a non-UT subject who matched the description of the phantom stairwell pisser. The responding officer recognized the man as someone who had been previously trespassed from all UT property and placed him under arrest. Occurred on 10/17/16 at 12:58 a.m. BATTLE HALL, 302 Inner Campus Drive Theft: A UT staff member reported the theft of an unattended wallet at this location. Estimated loss value: $135. Reported on 10/17/16 at 1:21 p.m. UT SYSTEMS CONSTRUCTION SITE, 210 West 7th Street Graffiti: A UT contractor reported several instances of graffiti at this location. An unknown person entered the site and used spray paint to convey several messages on the interior of the site. Due to the person's poor penmanship (or possibly spraypaintmanship?), the nature of the message is unclear. Discovered on 10/17/16 at 3:15 p.m. 2300 BLOCK OF GUADALUPE ST Criminal Simulation: A UT student reported that they attempted to make change for a stranger who handed him a $100 bill. Once the student provided change, he noticed that the $100 bill had the words, “For Motion Picture Use Only,” on it. Occurred on 10/17/16 at 1:20 p.m. NORTH END ZONE, 405 East 23rd Street Theft / Credit Card Abuse: A UT student reported that she discovered her wallet was missing when trying to purchase food on campus. She later discovered that it was likely stolen after she discovered fraudulent charges on her credit card. Occurred on 10/17/16 at 2:30 p.m. 1900 BLOCK OF SAN JACINTO BLVD Graffiti: A patrolling UTPD officer noticed graffiti along a retaining wall near this location. Estimated removal cost: $500. Reported on 10/18/16 at 4:46 a.m. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 24 Alarm Reports, 9 Traffic Violations, 18 Suspicious Activity Reports, 1 Medical Emergency, 1 Welfare Concern, 7 Foot Patrols, and 3 Public Assists between 10/17/16 and 10/18/16.
