WALTER WEBB HALL, 405 West 25th Street Graffiti: A UTPD officer noticed white spray paint on the wall of this building. The spray paint seemed to have been used in a crude attempt to convey some sort of writing. UTPD investigators suspect cavemen or kindergarteners may have been responsible. Estimated cost of removal: $150. Discovered on 10/27/16 at 8:20 a.m. GOLDSMITH HALL, 310 Inner Campus Drive Theft: A UT student reported that his bicycle was stolen from the rack outside this location. Estimated loss value: $450. When the officer stopped the car, she immediately noticed a distinctive smell coming from the interior of the vehicle. The non-UT driver claimed to have no knowledge of this “marijuana” that the officer spoke of. The driver's claimed lack of botanical education did not prevent our officers from searching the car, and they located a usable amount of marijuana and other items of drug paraphernalia. The driver was issued a citation and released. Occurred on 10/27/16 at 6:50 p.m. INTERSECTION OF DUVAL ST AND SAN JACINTO BLVD Public Intoxication / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor (x3): A patrolling UTPD officer noticed a woman sitting on the curb at this location. The woman appeared to be violently expelling the contents of her stomach onto the roadway while two other people kept her from falling over. The officer stopped to check on the woman and found that all three were UT students. The two helpers told officers that they had already contacted EMS for their friend. Officers learned that all three had recently been consuming alcohol at a local drinking establishment and that all three were under the age of 21. EMS arrived and immediately transported the student who was vomiting to a local hospital for treatment. The other two students were not charged for Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor under the Medical Amnesty Act.
