Come meet the officers who serve where you live and work. No talking points, no agendas, just a chance to meet the officers who serve your community, ask them questions, or talk to them about your concerns. All are welcome. *** SID RICHARDSON HALL, 2300 Red River Street Theft: A UTPD staff member reported several items missing from the common spaces of their office. Estimated loss value: $40. Discovered on 11/03/16 at 10:42 a.m. *** Crime Prevention Tip: Good customer service helps to deter criminal behavior. Whenever you see someone you don't recognize in your work space, ask if you can help them find something. Not only does it make UT a friendlier place, but it also lets criminals know that the people in your office are aware of their surroundings. *** COMMUNICATIONS BUILDING B, 2504-B Whitis Avenue Theft: A UT student reported that their bicycle was stolen from this location. Estimated loss value: $500. Reported on 11/03/16 at 3:30 p.m. JESTER EAST DORMITORY, 201 East 21st Street Public Intoxication: UTPD Dispatch received a call about an intoxicated man at this location. Our officers responded and located a UT student who was lying on a nearby bench. This particular person was having a very difficult time dealing with the gravitational pull of the Earth and officers instructed him to remain lying down. Fortunately, this student also had the foresight to take a sober friend with him that night, and that friend agreed to assume care, custody, and control of him until he sobered up.
