Report for 12/15/2016

Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University Police Department Patrol Officers between Tuesday, 12/14/16 and Wednesday, 12/15/16. ***ADMIN MESSAGE: Attached you will find the Best of the Campus Watch for 2016. They are in descending order based on the votes that you submitted. I apologize for not being able to respond to all your vote emails individually, but there were simply not enough hours in the day to do so. Thank you all for voting and please be careful traveling this winter. The Campus Watch will be going on hiatus over the holiday season. It has been a great experience writing the Campus Watch for this community over the last year. Sadly, I will be assuming new duties with our police department in January and my time to be one of the writers of this fine publication is at an end. Your letters of thanks and appreciation have been especially welcome in a historically difficult time to be a peace officer. I am sincerely grateful to have had the opportunity to write for all of you. Thank you, Ben Land *** BRACKENRIDGE APARTMENTS, 3300 Lake Austin Boulevard Theft: A UT student reported that her bicycle was stolen from the rack outside this location. The front tire was secured with a U-lock and both were left at the rack, intact. Estimated loss value: $250. Reported on 12/14/16 at 7:30 a.m. ***REMINDER: Parking and Transportation will be impounding bicycles left along the Speedway bicycle racks.
