Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University of Texas At Austin Police Department Patrol Officers between Monday 03/27/17 and Tuesday 03/28/17. Facilities Complex 1301 E. Dean Keeton Street Criminal Mischief: A UT Staff member discovered that someone had broken a window in her personal vehicle. Nothing appeared to be missing from the car. Reported on 03/28/17 at 02:45 am. Guadalupe Garage 417 W. 17th Street Theft: A bicycle owned by The University of Texas and easily tracked by UTPD Communications Operators was removed from a bike rack near the garage. The officers were able to quickly locate the bicycle and detain it's rider. The suspect told officers that he purchased the bicycle from a nearby child for the low price of $20.00. There were no children in the area selling stolen bicycles. The offender was transported to Travis County Central Booking. Occurred on 03/28/17 at 01:56 am. Art Building 2301 San Jacinto Boulevard Graffiti: A UTPD officer discovered graffiti on an exterior wall of the building. The estimated cost of removing the graffiti is $100.00. Reported on 03/27/17 at 06:44 pm. Winship Drama Building 300 E. 23rd Street Graffiti: A UTPD officer discovered graffiti on a pedestrian bridge near the building. The estimated cost of removing the graffiti is $100.00. Discovered on 03/27/17 at 06:32 pm. East Mall 201 E. 22nd Street Theft: A UT student reported that her backpack had been stolen. The student left her backpack unattended for a short period of time and when she returned, the backpack was missing. Another UT student located the backpack and returned it to the owner but several items, including a laptop, were missing. Reported on 03/27/17 at 01:53 pm. Robert Lee Moore Hall 2515 Speedway Theft: A UT staff member left his bicycle unsecured at a bike rack near the building. When he returned, the bicycle was gone. Reported on 03/27/17 at 03:15 pm. Frank Erwin Center 1701 Red River Street Assault: A patron reported that she was pushed by an unknown male during a concert earlier in the month. The victim sustained minor injuries during the assault. Reported on 03/25/17 at 08:00 pm. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 10 Alarm Reports, 5 Traffic Violations, 3 Foot Patrols, 8 Suspicious Activity Reports, 1 Medical Emergency, 1 Assist Other Law Enforcement Agency Call, and 23 Public Assists between Monday 03/27/17 and Tuesday 03/28/17.
