Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by The University of Texas At Austin Police Department Patrol Officers between Tuesday 04/25/2017 and Thursday 04/27/17. Campus Safety Note: By now, many of you have been made aware of the shots fired incident on campus. Our preliminary investigation indicates that this was an isolated incident between two individuals that were known to each other. There is no ongoing threat to the community at this time. The suspect vehicle is described as two-door car with a rear spoiler and tinted windows. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with short dark hair that was wearing sweatpants. The investigation is ongoing. If you have any information pertinent to this case, please call UTPD at 512-471-4441. As always, if you see something, say something. Thirty minutes elapsed between the firing of the shots and the first 911 call. Mezes Hall 154 W. 21st Street Theft: A UT faculty member reported that the insoles of his shoes were stolen. The estimated loss is $20.00. Reported on 04/26/17 at 12:15 pm. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 48 Alarm Activations, 6 Assist Other Law Enforcement Agency Calls, 7 Traffic Violations, 16 Foot Patrols, 16 Suspicious Activity Reports, 4 Medical Emergencies, and 34 Public Assists between Tuesday 04/25/2017 and Thursday 04/27/17.
