Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus criminal activity reported to or observed by The University of Texas At Austin Police Department Patrol Officers between Tuesday 05/16/17 and Thursday 05/18/17. Brackenridge Apartments 3501 Lake Austin Boulevard Graffiti: A UTPD officer observed fresh graffiti on a wall at the apartment complex. The estimated cost of removing the graffiti is $100.00. Discovered on 05/16/17 at 09:29 hours. O'Henry Hall 601 W. Colorado Street Assault/Public Intoxication: A UT security guard observed three men fighting near the building. UTPD officers arrived and found two men standing over a third and shouting profanities at him. The victim sustained minor injuries. The two offenders were found to be intoxicated to the point of being a danger to themselves or others. They were taken into custody and transported to Travis County Central Booking. Both offenders were charged with assault and public intoxication. Occurred on 05/16/17 at 9:37 pm. Winship Drama Building 300 E. 23rd Street Criminal Trespass: A UT student flagged down a UTPD officer and reported a person who appeared to be stealing bicycles. Officer located the person and found that he had been issued two prior criminal trespass warnings. He was taken into custody and transported to Travis County Jail. Occurred on 05/17/17 at 4:19 am. Jester Residence Hall 201 E. 21st Street Public Intoxication: A UT staff member reported an intoxicated man in the lobby of the dormitory. Officers responded to the area and located the intoxicated man. The suspect was a former student and attended a party West of Campus during the night. Officers released the man to a sober friend. Occurred on 05/17/17 at 07:16 am. Sutton Hall 305 Inner Campus Drive Burglary/ Criminal Trespass: A UT staff member flagged down a passing UTPD officer to report a suspicious male. Officers located the man and found he was in possession of a great deal of stolen property. Officers also learned that the man had received a prior criminal trespass warning. Officers located the property owner and determined that the suspect had burglarized the building. The suspect was issued another criminal trespass warning and was then transported to Travis County Central Booking. Occurred on 05/17/17 at 08:50 am. Perry Castañeda Library 101 E. 21st Street Criminal Trespass Warning: UTPD officers responded to multiple reports of a man acting strangely as he walked through our campus. Officers located the man and determined that he had no legitimate business on campus. He was issued a criminal trespass warning and ejected from the campus. Occurred on 05/17/17 at 1:17 pm. The University of Texas Police Department responded to 68 Alarm Activations, 4 Assist Other Law Enforcement Agency Calls, 1 Abandoned 911 Call, 2 Foot Patrols, 34 Traffic Violations, 10 Suspicious Activity Reports, and 13 Public Assists between Tuesday 05/16/17 and Thursday 05/18/17.
